Your Response is Requested if Idaho Should Pursue OT Licensure Compact April is OT month and now is the time to learn more about the OT Licensure Compact and how it impacts you and your practice in Idaho. Find out more information with the links provided in the PDF flier, attend the informational webinar, and then offer comment for or against passing the compact in Idaho.

The IOTA has been approached by the AOTA and supportive bodies to determine our interest in pursuing OT Licensure Compact for Idaho OT practitioners, however we recognize that we represent the interests of our practitioners, and seek public comment by 5/20/24, as multiple other states have already passed legislation to be included in the national OT Licensure Compact.

After informing yourself via the articles provided in the links in the PDF flier, we also encourage you to attend the live informational webinar jointly hosted by AOTA and NBCOT called ‘’OT Compact: Where Are We Now, and Where Are We Going?’’ regarding the OT Licensure Compact on Tuesday, April 30th at 12 pm MT, this is free to all practitioners and students. Access the webinar virtual meeting link in the PDF flier below, or via the event on the IOTA calendar. The webinar will also be recorded, with the recording link to be posted.

We then ask you provide comment either via the comment sheet found in the Google Drive folder with link in the PDF flier, or also you may email Lisa Hong, IOTA Legislation, Advocacy, Reimbursement Chairperson email address to send public comment to regarding Idaho pursuing OT Licensure Compact legchairofiota2@gmail.com. All comments will be kept anonymous and collected together to inform our collaboration with our IOTA lobbyist Caroline Merritt, and the assistance of AOTA, pending whether it is determined by feedback that our Idaho OT practitioners wish for the IOTA to move forward with seeking legislation for enacting the OT Licensure Compact in Idaho. We will then be presenting this information at the next IDOPL OT Licensure Board meeting on Friday, July 26th, 2024. We greatly appreciate your time and consideration to this matter.
