The IOTA Spring Treatment Summit was held on May 19th at the Idaho State University Meridian campus. The theme of the day was on mindfulness and presentations were offered on using crucial conversations to decrease drama in the workplace, iRest, and the therapeutic use of yoga.  Participants earned 6.5 CEUs and many were energized to incorporate learning immediately into personal and professional lives. The Idaho Occupational Therapy Association and the CE Committee strive to produce high quality continuing education for Idaho OTPs and look forward to another quality CE opportunity at the IOTA Fall Conference, September 29th, 2018, at St. Alphonsus Medical Center.

Feedback from our Presenters

I wanted to let you know what a privilege it was to present to your group and work with your leadership in the preparation phase of my presentation. You and your team have been wonderful with the regular reminders along the way on what you need and when, probably the best I’ve experienced with any of my speaking engagements. It’s not unusual that I am wondering where I need to be and the details of the audience or setup, so hats off to you for the regular reminders and thorough information. Keep up the great work!

I presented in the May at the IOTA Spring Treatment Summit in Boise on The use of yoga as a modality to use within occupational therapy. From the beginning of the process, I felt very supported as a speaker. The IOTA team helped coordinate the space, my IT needs, and assisted with set up and break down on the day of. They were extremely professional, supportive, and actually fun to work with! The day of the treatment summit was enjoyed by all- the venue was great and all speakers were experts in their field with interesting topics. I would not hesitate to work with this team again in any situation.
