As your AOTA Representative, I am busily engaged in the RA fall meeting that is currently in process, through November 12th. The Representative Assembly is currently considering 5 motions, mostly dealing with the entry-level of OTs and OTAs. I hope that you are familiar with each of the motions and that you have either reached out to me or will consider reaching out to me to provide your perspective that will inform my decision and my vote.
The next meeting is scheduled to coincide with the AOTA Annual Conference and Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana, April 4–7. Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions to present as motions. I would be happy to help you develop a proposal.
In an effort to hear your needs, questions, and concerns, it is my plan to participate and/or present at the IOTA fall conference, and I encourage you to not only attend, but to become actively engaged in both your state and national associations. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible and thank you for your feedback and participation.
