On March 15, 2025, East District Idaho OT practitioners and students gathered for an inciteful 1-hour seminar provided by fellow practitioner Jake Bundy, OTR/L, CWS. Our delicious appetizers and drinks, provided by Tommy Vaughn’s Grill in Blackfoot, were interrupted by wound care stories and intense graphics; however, our group seemed to press forward unphased while Jake taught us more about the relevance of OT in wound care and the desperate need for us to better advocate for our profession across healthcare settings. Jake demonstrates a deeply rooted passion for wound care, stemming from his experience fostering a rehab-driven wound care program at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Aside from facilitating a meaningful, academic discussion, Jake provided students and practitioners with the opportunity to network and explore prospective areas that OTs across Idaho could practice to better current and future patient care.
