My name is Taylor Peterson, and I am currently a doctoral student working on my capstone project, which focuses on the critical intersection of sustainability and occupational therapy. As part of this project, I have developed an online course titled “Sustainability in Occupational Therapy.”
This course is designed to equip OT practitioners, students, and educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to integrate sustainable practices into their work. We will cover key topics such as the impact of climate change on occupational therapy, strategies for promoting environmental justice, and learn action-oriented ways to implement sustainability into our practice. The course is also aligned with several ACOTE standards (B.1.3, B.2.4, B.2.5, B.4.2), making it a valuable resource for continuing education.
