Another successful IOTA District Journal Club Event is in the books!
The IOTA Southwest District hosted journal club this September at the CWI Boise campus, with special thanks to current IOTA CWI OTA Program Student Representatives Bekah Giffen and Brittany Fuit, for going above and beyond and assisting to secure this space and promote the event. Presenter Ivan Hardcastle, OTR/L and current IOTA President-Elect, provided an hour long continuing education presentation on the important topic of “Getting the Basics of Treating Daytime Childhood Incontinence.” The IOTA again provided CE credit to both Association members and non-members alike in good faith to promote increased participation in quality continuing education events as per our Strategic Plan. We enjoyed offering the hybrid option as we had multiple participants on ZOOM, and the discussion was excellent with attendees gaining multiple clinical pearls they could implement the very next day in the clinic and their personal occupational therapy practice.
Be on the lookout for more IOTA District Journal Club Continuing Education events in 2025 and let us know what topics you would like to have featured as well as ideas for presenters.
